薩克斯風演奏家、藝術總監、譯者、音樂會製作人。

出生於1981年台北。先後取得東海大學音樂藝術學士、法國國立賽爾吉．蓬土瓦斯音樂院（CRR de Cergy-Pontoise）高級演奏暨教育文憑（DEM）、法國國立畢多音樂院（CDR de Puteaux）最高演奏文憑（Prix de Perfectionnement）、維也納市立音樂院（MUK）薩克斯風演奏文 （Certificat of Performance）。曾師事於 Jean-Yves FOURMEAU、Alexandre SOUILLART、Lars MLEKUSCH。並與大提琴家François POLY學習早期音樂詮釋及改編技巧。旅 歐 期 間 多 次 受 邀 參 與 國 際 展 演 ， 包 含 世 界 薩 克 斯 風 年 會 （ W S C ） 、 比 利 時 迪 南（Dinant）國際薩克斯風大賽、尚．馬利。隆德士（Jean-Marie LONDEIX）國際大賽、新加 坡 國 際 薩 克 斯 風 論 壇 與 法 國 布 列 塔 尼 國 際 薩 克 斯 風音 樂 營 等 。 2 0 1 9 受 莫 斯 科SounDrama工作坊邀請，參與國際劇場導演Vladimir PANKOV與作曲 Artyom KIM 為期三週的整體表演藝術跨域訓練與演出。近年嘗試以薩克斯風演奏參與多方的表演藝術類型：2017,2018 於現代音樂協會與新點子樂展 擔 任 演 出 者 暨 執行 製 作人 、 2 0 1 9 臺 南 藝 術 節 閉 幕音 樂 會 演 出 者 暨 執行 製 作人 、2020,2021福爾摩沙音樂影像計畫製作人、2022,2023【拾音．時音】製作人。演出類型包括早期巴洛克、經典傳統薩克斯風作品、當代獨奏與室內樂、電聲即興、劇場舞蹈跨域演出等。並以此作為目標，期望拓展薩克斯風展演更寬廣的可能性。2024年一月受邀至法國巴黎與芬蘭西貝流士音樂院舉行「福爾摩沙的呢喃」系列講座與演出，2024年二月影像作品製作【福爾摩沙的呢喃2.0—音樂影像實驗計畫】入選2024威尼斯ITSLIQUID Future Landscapes 國際藝術展，於2/16～03/01期間在威尼斯 Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello展出。五月於兩廳院實驗劇場策劃【聲之異變】薩克斯風與電聲專場計畫並擔任總製作人。

 

目前為自由薩克斯風演奏家、拾音人樂集藝術總監、i-Saxo國際薩克斯風樂展策劃人、中華民國現代音樂協會演奏家，並於2022年始擔任理事之一。譯作：《薩克斯風的學習方法》、《有效練習金三角》及《薩克斯風的說文嚼字》之法中（繁體）譯本與個人專輯【聲音．意象】。

Saxophonist, artistic director, translator, concert producer...,  born in 1981, Taipei, Taiwan. Chun-Hao KU is one of the leading concert saxophonists in Taiwan. Chun-Hao KU has completed his music studies with Bachelor degrees of FinArts at Tunhai University, DEM (Diplôme d'Études Musicales) at Conservatoire de Cergy-Pontoise under the class of Jean-Yves Fourmeau and Prix de Perfectionnement de Saxophone at Conservatoire de Puteaux under the class of Alexandre Souillart in Paris. 2016-2018 Ku won Certificat of Performance on Saxophone at MUK (Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien) under the class of Lars Mlekusch. 

Passionate in all music style, Ku has studied with French Cellist François Poly on early music interpretation and instrumental arrangement. Meanwhile, Ku also gives new music and premiere commissioned works in many projects. In order to extend the field of artistic vision, Ku participates several theatrical projects since 2017.  Ku has been pointed to be the saxophonist and executive producer of Innovation Series in 2017,2018 which was directed by NTCH, Taiwan. Saxophonist and executive producer in 2019 of Tainan International Art Festival. Ku is the only Taiwanese musician who has been invited to participate the SounDrama Studio workshop in 2019, Moscow, directed by Vladimir Pankov and Artyom Kim.     ​

Borderless on saxophone playing, Ku often works with NTSO on saxophone orchestral repertoires, solo or chamber on standard repertoires, further more Ku always gives hard tries to challenge the limit into finding more possibilities on this modern instrument. Looking for the authentic qualities in interpreting all different music styles and languages of western and eastern cultures. From early music to contemporary, Ku is the experienced player on Chamber music, Solo, Electronics, Music theatre......etc.  

Active participant in many international events. Ku has given his recitals and conferences in WSC (World Saxophone Congress), SSS (Singapore Saxophone Symposium),  Académie internationale de saxophone Bretagne, Sibelius Academy, Helsinki, Bangkok, Hong-Kong...etc. 

Ku is the organiser of i-Saxo international Saxfest and Artistic Director of Ensemble SonusGlaneur. Saxophonist of ISCM-TW, since 2022, Ku is one of the ISCM-TW committee member.
